Ygam’s Latest Report Highlights Success in Gambling Harm Prevention Among Youth

Ygam, a charity dedicated to preventing gambling-related harm in young people, has revealed strong results in its 2024/2025 Impact Report. Between January 2024 and March 2025, Ygam trained nearly 10,000 individuals (9,448) working with children and young people, reaching approximately 1.3 million young people across the UK.

Key outcomes:

97% of training participants would recommend the program to colleagues.

97% feel more confident identifying signs of problem gambling.

50% of teachers and youth workers have integrated Ygam’s materials into classrooms and work settings.

Over 1 million social media impressions were generated—a 322% increase from 2023.

Ygam’s approach relies heavily on evidence-based practices and rigorous evaluation, ensuring that its programs are effective and sustainable. Helen Martin, Interim CEO and COO of Ygam, emphasized the charity’s commitment to best-in-class standards and lasting impact.

Lawmakers praise the charity’s work:
Baroness Twycross, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, acknowledged Ygam’s vital role in educating youth on safer digital habits and pledged to continue collaboration to protect vulnerable groups from gambling harm.
